QR System Enhancement
Date:
2010.06.18
The HKCAAVQ, as the QR (Qualifications Register) Authority, launched an enhancement of the QR on 14 June 2010. New features, covering all the three interfaces of the QR – interfaces with public (general users who surf the QR website), operators (programme providers who have qualifications uploaded/to be uploaded onto the QR website), and the QR Administrator (QR Authority) – are introduced with an aim to enhance the user-friendliness of the QR.
Some of the enhanced features include:
On the Public Interface
• Enhanced layout for record display to increase readability
• Enhanced search criteria/options, and search on qualifications under the Recognition of Prior Learning mechanism
• More flexible keyword search function
• New download function
On the Operator Interface
• Enhanced flexibility in changing the Operator/Agency Reference Code
• New download function available for retrieving operator profile and published qualification details
• Enhanced search options
Others
• Explanation on individual terms by a simple click
• Updated User Guide to lead users through the system in late June
• Demontration to lead users through the system at a later stage
System enhancement is a continual process to improve the usage and operation of the QR website. A briefing was held on 18 June to introduce the new features to over 200 representatives from programme providers.
